The factory building with the mansard roof and the arched gable was built in 1909 after a fire. Notice the date 1876 on the windvane – that is from the previous building. The building is a typical industrial building; high, short and narrow with many windows to minimise the loss of power from the steam engine and to provide good illumination of the work-place. Note also the free-standing chimney from 1876 for steam and the hoist-trapdoor with its jib. Towards the road stands the factory house from 1876 where Sophus Pritzel lived.
